Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1988, Phillip Papadis graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Photography from the renowned RMIT University, one of the world’s longest-running photography programs.
He spent the next decade working alongside several high-profile fashion, beauty and portrait photographers as a digital and camera technician, lighting assistant, and trusted collaborator — gaining extensive on-set experience on large high value productions throughout the world.
Known for his experimental yet refined use of light and outstanding technical ability, Phillip brings a calm, collaborative energy to every project. He works closely with his team and subjects to empower them and create imagery that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
His editorial work has appeared in publications including Vogue Arabia, Vogue Turkiye, Vogue Philippines, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Numéro Netherlands, L’Officiel India, and L’Officiel Vietnam.
Phillip now splits his time between London, Stockholm, and Sydney with his wife, Evelyn Houf, who is his long time creative partner and post-production specialist.
